False. Blackheads form due to an excess of oil on the skin that gathers and blocks the pore. When the pore is open, the oil is exposed to oxygen which reacts and turns a dark color, resulting in a blackhead.

If I have oily skin, I can skip the moisturiser?

No. Believe it or not, even oily skin needs moisture, and the right moisturizer can actually help balance your skin and smooth out rough spots. Oily and spot-prone skin will do best with oil-free, water-based products. Read the labels, they will help you find the products that are right for you.
